| The On-Line Birney Safety Car Museum |
| Please meet Charles Oliver Birney, the first born child of John and Martha Birney. Charles was born in Dayton, Ohio in 1867. His father, John survived four years of service in America's Civil War. You will only see photos of Charles, that can be seen from his right side, as he was extremely self conscious of he large birthmark on the left side of his face. We will feature Charles Birney's achievements by way of photos of his namesake, the "Birney Safety Car" in conjunction with articles that have been written regarding his visible influence on the transportation industry shortly after the turn of the twentieth century. |
